Chalmers Reads at Kuggen

Chalmers Reads at Kuggen is the library’s book club in Swedish for students, researchers, and staff at Chalmers University. You can sign up for the book club using the form further down on this page.

Autumn 2026

This autumn, we will be reading Kadetten by Chalmers alumnus David Aldman. The novel follows Johan, a Chalmers student who dreams of a future as a seafarer on an offshore oil rig. Readers accompany Johan as a cadet aboard the vessel Neptune off the African coast, where suspicious activities begin to emerge.

This book club is primarily intended for Chalmers maritime students, but everyone is welcome to join. The book will be read and discussed in Swedish.
