From 6 July to 9 August, the facilities in the Chalmers Main Library will be completely closed due to ongoing renovations. We will therefore open a temporary information desk at the Chalmers Servicecenter where you can access library services and get help from a librarian.
Note! The Architecture and Civil Engineering Library, as well as the Chalmers Learning Commons in Kuggen, will be closed during the period 15 June–9 August.
Location and opening hours
You will find the temporary information desk at the Chalmers Servicecenter, Chalmers Entré (address: Chalmersplatsen 1).
The desk will be open at the following times:
11:00–13:00 on weekdays (6 July–7 August).
Can I borrow books from the library?
You can still order and borrow books from the library’s collections throughout the summer, but you must request the book before your visit. You will receive a confirmation email from the library when the book is ready to be picked up at the information desk at Chalmers Servicecenter.
Extended pickup period
You will have a longer time to pick up your reserved book during the summer, see your reservation confirmation email for details.
How can I return books?
You can return books at the temporary information desk during its opening hours. Book returns are also possible around the clock via the book drops located at the entrances of our three library buildings. These are emptied regularly during the summer.
When will the Main Library reopen?
On Monday, 10 August, large parts of the Main Library will be accessible again. We look forward to welcoming you back to our newly renovated facilities!
