Chalmers Cortège Programme
Since 1909, students at Chalmers have arranged the Cortège with its parade through the city streets. Over the years, the unique tradition has only been cancelled three times, the first time in 1912, the second in 1940 and the third in 2020.
The procession is supported by the local business community and the students produce a programme sheet with drawings, riddles, crossword puzzles, jokes, poetry and advertisements. The programme sheet is sold the weeks before the parade and is a sure sign of spring.
The cortège programmes have been digitized by Chalmers Library with support from the Chalmers Cortège Committee and the Chalmers Foundation's anniversary fund.
